Creston Lions Parade of Flags


The Creston Lions will sponsor a Parade of Flags for the village and anyone with a Creston address. With a $30.00 subscription the Lions will place a 3′ x 5′ American flag in the front yard of your home or business at each of five holidays. Lions install a buried pipe in your lawn for easy placement of the flag staff and cap the pipe when not in use. Now is your chance to join your neighbors in this special holiday display for Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, Patriots Day, and Veterans Day. Creston Lions Club “Students of the Year” Awards

The Creston Lions Club recently recognized an outstanding student from each grade level 7-12 from Norwayne Schools.  The students are chosen based on their academic achievements, character, service, and leadership qualities.

The students, their parents, and guests were invited to attend the April 19th meeting of the Creston Lions Club, where a meal was provided.  Lion’s President, Jamie Wellert, presented each Student of the Year recipient with a certificate and an official Lions Club ink pen.

Mrs. Jodi Klauss, Norwayne Middle School guidance counselor, read the accomplishments of 7th grader Delaney Frary and 8th grader Tagen Ingold.

Mrs. Amy Frary, Norwayne High School guidance counselor, read the accomplishments of the high school recipients – 9th grader – Ben Roscoe, 10th grader – Alexis Glessner, 11th grader – Tyler Harley, and 12th grader – Autumn Hanshaw.

Congratulations to all the Lions Club Student of the Year winners and best of luck in all your future endeavors.
